Factsheets

We work with statutory agencies, local authorities, private employers, charities and community organisations to strengthen understanding and responses to domestic abuse.

Fundamental to our approach, is building and enhancing a strong, well-informed, sensitive and non-judgemental workforce culture.  This extends beyond domestic abuse, recognising the areas where it often intersects, such as mental health and wellbeing, substance misuse, and diverse cultures and belief systems.

Our robust prevention and early intervention model places our Survivor and Insight Network at the centre of our work. Through the power of lived experience and frontline insight, our network informs research, shapes future best practice, deepens understanding of the complexities of domestic abuse, and ultimately helps to save lives.

Important Notes

Handbooks that accompany training sessions should only be distributed to those that have attended the training and should not, under any circumstances, be used to train others outside of the supportive and structured training environment that Alpha Vesta provide.

Handbooks can be powerful resources to reflect on the training delivered and support attendees in their own learning and development.  The potential for handbooks to be misused and falling into the wrong hands can put victim/survivors of domestic abuse at increased risk.

For this reason, handbooks, training resources and any recorded training sessions should not be distributed outside of your organisation under any circumstances without the written permission of Alpha Vesta.  Domestic Abuse costs lives and we all share a collective responsibility to use what resources we have to break the cycle appropriately and safely.
